Welcome to Weymouth College's IELTS Blog:

IELTS (International English Language Testing System) is an Internationally recognised certificate which allows you entry into British Universities, increase your professional opportunities with a stronger CV or simply provide evidence of your current level of English.

IELTS classes at Weymouth College are on Mondays 1pm – 4pm but yourare expected to do more work at home to improve your English. The classes are taught by Liam Platten (DELTA/CELTA/PGCE qualified) and made fun, interactive and supportive.

The teaching materials are sourced from the best publications from Cambridge University Press and Longman publishing as well as materials developed by Liam to develop your English so as to give you the best results possible in the exam. You will also be given regular practice tests to make sure you can perform to time limits.

You will take your exam at Richard Language College, Bournemouth and we will try to provide transport for you on the day.

The IELTS classes are great for you if you want to develop your English by learning more academic language and grammar as well as developing the reading and writing techniques that you will need in higher education.
